Adamu gala performance at St. Gallen's ascent to the Cup

Junior Adamu was outstanding at St. Gallen's Cup success

FC St. Gallen eliminated defending champion Young Boys Bern with a 4-1 win in the round of 16 of the Swiss Football Cup. The rise of the Eastern Swiss on Thursday was initiated by 19-year-old Chukwubuike Junior Adamu (33rd), an ÖFB U21 team player. For the player on loan from Salzburg, it was the third competitive match in the dress of his current employer. He also shone with two assists.

Adamu had recently scored in the two ÖFB U21 international test wins against Saudi Arabia and Poland (twice). The quarter-final opponents of St. Gallen are the Grasshoppers from Zurich. Before that, the league will again play against YB on Sunday, when a negative series of five championship games without a win has to be ended.
