Facebook launches testing of an analogue of Clubhouse: it is called Hotline

Recently, employees of the experimental NPE Team, which belongs to the Facebook corporation, launched testing of a new application called Hotline. This is reported by the TechCrunch edition.

This service is a mixture of Instagram Live and Clubhouse. It will allow users to communicate with people who will ask questions through text and voice messages. It is noteworthy that the host of the broadcast himself will be able to appear not only in audio, but also in video format.

It is worth noting that the service interface is similar to the Clubhouse. At the top there is a section for displaying the presenter, and at the bottom of the avatars of the listeners. In the desktop version of the application, the presenter bar is on the left, and the listeners bar is on the right.

It is also known that the participants in the conversation will be divided into two categories: with the right to ask questions and with the ability to only listen. In the meantime, the room organizer will be able to delete objectionable comments and ban users.

At the end of all conversations, the application will give the organizer a recording in audio and video format. There is no such functionality in Clubhouse.
