In Great Britain, Santa Claus was allowed not to wear a mask
In Great Britain, Santa Claus was allowed not to wear a mask, but children will not be able to sit on his lap, RIA Novosti reports.
“We know that meeting Santa Claus is a magical event for children, and therefore he will take security measures, but he will not be required to wear a mask,” said an official from the Prime Minister's Office.
He also added that the authorities decided to ease the restrictions that are in force in the country due to the coronavirus. The relief will last for five days – from 23 to 27 December.
So, on the New Year, members of three families can be together. In addition, children will be able to meet Santa Claus at Santa's grottoes. However, all visitors must wear masks – they cannot be removed even for a photo.
