Markus Kraetschmer will stay with Austria. Now the top of the club wants to persuade coach Peter Stöger to stay.
The tug of war around AG board member Markus Kraetschmer has had a result since Thursday evening, Kraetschmer remains. In the “Krone” he explains: “The area of responsibility is so large and complex that you can no longer do it alone.” It is important to him that he stay on board.
At the past meetings of the committees, there was heated debate as to whether Kraetschmer's contract, which expires in the summer, should be extended or not. There were many votes against in the supervisory board, while the board of directors largely voted in favor of the economist.
Another conversation with Stöger
Kraetschmer will thus be placed at the side of the new AG board member Gerhard Krisch, and Austria will send him to the newly founded Marketing GmbH, as agreed, in which Insignia holds the majority (70 percent).
It is still unclear whether Peter Stöger will remain responsible for the sporting area. He makes his decision independently of the agreement with Kraetschmer. There will be another conversation this week.
