The WHO speculated about persuading opponents of vaccination against coronavirus
Opponents of vaccination against coronavirus may change their minds if drug tests prove safe. This was announced by the World Health Organization (WHO), RIA Novosti reports.
“It is unlikely that those who are already strongly opposed to vaccination will change their minds, but everything will depend on how the pandemic develops,” the representatives of the international organization reasoned. They added that the safety and efficacy of the future vaccine may become important factors for persuading anti-vaccine users.
At the same time, WHO noted the already spreading inaccurate data on drugs undergoing trials. They also hoped that the fakes would not affect the positive attitude of the population towards the vaccine, as it would help return to their usual living conditions.
Earlier, the director of the Gamaleya Center, Alexander Gintsburg, announced a plan to vaccinate residents of Russia against coronavirus. According to him, at least 1.5 million citizens will be vaccinated against COVID-19 this year. Now about 40-45 thousand people have received the vaccine in the country, the specialist said.
