11 miners died at a Russian mine, 40 more were poisoned by combustion products

The accident occurred in the morning at the Listyazhnaya mine in the town of Belovo, Kemerovo Region, when there were three hundred miners in the face. According to preliminary data, coal dust caught fire in the ventilation drift at a depth of 250 meters. After that, an explosion occurred, and a fire broke out, and acrid smoke spread along the entire mine.

“There is no strong smoke, so let's hope there is no fire there. We have no connection with these people, the underground communication system does not work, although there is electricity, everything is working, the ventilation system is working, we are pumping out the air from the mine, “said Sergei Tsivilev, Governor of the Kemerovo Region of Russia.
