In a school in western Sydney, one of the students attacked another with a knife, according to 9News , citing New South Wales police.

As noted, the incident happened at a school on Macquarie Street in Parramatta. The 14-year-old boy received stab and cut wounds in his back, after which he was sent to the hospital. His condition is assessed as stable. Before the arrival of the doctors, the teachers provided the teenager with first aid.

The media write that the boy was attacked by one of the students of this school. Police Commissioner Mick Fuller noted that this is a targeted attack, so there is no reason to fear for other students. The parents of both teenagers are actively cooperating with the investigation.

A few hours later, classes at the school resumed. For the safety of children and their parents, law enforcement officers continue to be on duty in the school building.
