The fiercest battles are taking place in the Bakhmut, Avdeevsky and Maryinsky directions. The Russian occupiers mostly do not have much success, but continue to storm Ukrainian cities.

A military expert, reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, pilot-instructor Roman Svitan spoke about this Channel 24. According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine not only firmly hold the front lines, but also carry out assault operations.

On April 1, the Ministry of Defense announced that the Russian invaderscannot capture Bakhmutand are trying to surround Avdiivka . The situation in the East remains difficult. The hottest four spots are Avdiivka, Maryinka, Belogorovka and Bakhmut.

“Belogorivka is the north of the Donetsk Front, a fortified area, southeast of Seversky. This is a springboard for our further movement towards Lysichansk. This is a very promising direction for our exit to Luhansk,” said Roman Svitan.

Therefore, the Russians are trying to “cut off” this performance from the right bank of the Seversky Donets. Since Belogorivka is located on the rise, the Ukrainian military chose it as a line of defense, leaving Lisichansk and Severodonetsk. According to the colonel, there are several quarries and it is almost impossible to get through, so the Russian invaders cannot drive our garrison out of Belogorovka.

Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka

Roman Svitan noted that the front line had already set up in Bakhmut. The Armed Forces of Ukraine contain lines outlined by the military command. In particular, our fighters recaptured the Russians from Khromovoe, where they wanted to “cut the threads” of supplies.

The same is true in Avdiivka. After the Avdiyivka garrison cut off half of the 1st and 2nd corps of the LDNR, who were trying to drive out our military, they were sent to help them with the police, units of Prigozhin’s PIK and line units of the landing force of the Russian army,” Svitan said.

He explained that the line units are motorized rifle units entering from Donetsk through the Donetsk airport. But there, too, the line of defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, tied to the Karlovsky reservoir, is well built. Our batteries are standing on the West Bank of Karlovka, holding Russian troops.

Maryinka survived many strikes: both artillery and aviation. According to Svitan, there is nothing left of the city, but the Ukrainian military continues to hold the lines.

The situation in Eastern Ukraine: the main thing
