+45 degrees are recorded in Argentina: power outages occurred in the capital

Forecasters warn that this is not the limit.

Argentina is suffering from an unprecedented heat: thermometers have risen to +45 degrees.

This was reported in TSN Rank on January 12.

The country, at least for a while, became one of the hottest places in the planets: the air temperature reached +45 degrees. The metropolitan region suffers from the heat. Power outages have occurred in and around Buenos Aires, leaving hundreds of thousands of people without electricity or air conditioning.

The authorities urge citizens to be careful, sit out hot hours indoors and drink plenty of water. In turn, forecasters suggest that warm weather could set new records.

In the Pakistani province of Punjab, hundreds of vehicles were reportedly covered in snow. In total, there were about a thousand cars on the highway under the snow. At least 21 people died. According to rescuers, six people froze to death in their cars. The preliminary cause of death for others is asphyxiation after inhalation of vapors.
