In the Kharkiv region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are gradually liberating the territory, almost the entire region has already been de-occupied. Now they are clearing mines there, putting things in order, checking the territory. In particular, they are also looking for 6 saboteurs, another one was liquidated over the past day.

Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Rostislav Smirnov told Channel 24 about this. He says that over the past 24 hours they have “cleansed” and established control over more than 3 settlements in the Kharkiv region.

But, according to him, a certain stage of “cleansing” is still , because there are still certain “surprises”, in addition to mines, in the occupied territories.

For example, the day before they turned into “200” another saboteur found in Balakley. To date, there is also information that there are still 6 such saboteurs. Therefore, the so-called “operation to intercept” these occupiers is underway,” Smirnov explained.

He said that 23 filtration pointsin order to communicate with people in order to understand if there are among the population:

  • disguised invaders,
  • sabotage and reconnaissance groups,
  • collaborators or people helping the enemy.

“Therefore, this work is being carried out. Today, about 50 thousand people live in the de-occupied territories of the Kharkiv region. Most of them have neither communications nor electricity,” he noted.

The adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs explained that the volume of replacement is huge, the occupiers first of all replaced power lines and other critical infrastructure, and this makes it impossible to speed up the supply of electricity. Also, 150 Starlinks were transferred to the Kharkiv region to ensure communication.

Now all the necessary work is being done. Both cleaning up and creating a non-hazardous environment for people. Mobile groups of VHI have also been launched so that people can restore their documents,” Smirnov replied.

The adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs added that evidence was being collected in the Kharkiv region so that the Russians who committed atrocities received a sentence. The “sword of justice” will catch up with them, it's only a matter of time,” he replied.

By the way, in total, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already liberated 3,800 square kilometers of Kharkiv region from Russian troops. The number of de-occupied cities and villages reached 300. Approximately 150,000 Ukrainians became free from the occupation.
