According to media reports, a girl was injured as a result of the attack. The ambulance staff who arrived at the scene provided her with medical assistance.
On Monday, July 5, the LGBT action “March of Dignity” was to take place in Tbilisi. As the correspondent of RBC reported, before the march, his opponents blocked the central street of Rustaveli. After that, a spontaneous rally began in front of the building of the Georgian parliament, attended by at least a thousand people.
According to the Georgian Interior Ministry, the protesters used violence against media representatives and damaged the office of Tbilisi Pride (the organizer of the LGBT march) on Akhvlediani Street.
As a result, the organizers of the march canceled it.
