In the Chernivtsi region, near the Ukrainian-Romanian border, the body of a serviceman of the State Border Service with a gunshot wound was found.
This was told by the press secretary of the local border detachment Sergey Brovko in an interview.
The soldier who was killed was a conscript of the GPSU. His body without signs of life was found in the evening of January 21.
An ambulance was immediately called to the scene, as well as law enforcement officers. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
In turn, neither the official website of the border guard service nor the press service of the Chernivtsi region police reported the incident.
Earlier on Sunday, January 23, in the Chernivtsi region, unknown persons opened fire on a GPSU employee who was injured and taken to the nearest hospital.
The victim was able to remain conscious and call for reinforcements on the radio, which immediately moved to his aid.
The condition of the fighter is assessed as severe. At the same time, it is currently unknown who exactly attacked the border guard.
