 A bullet hit the head: a four-year-old girl died during the riots in Almaty

< strong> A four-year-old girl died in Almaty, Kazakhstan, after she came under fire. The child died from a bullet wound in the head.

This was stated by the Commissioner for Children's Rights in Kazakhstan Aruzhan Sain .

According to her, on the evening of January 7, a car with two sisters came under fire. The youngest (4 years old) died. Her 15-year-old sister is in intensive care with a bullet wound.

According to local media reports, the tragedy occurred when a 4-year-old girl was driving in a car with her uncle. They allegedly went for groceries and drove past the square. There were two more of my uncle's children in the car, who were wounded.

In the afternoon of January 7 at 13:30, another child, an 8-year-old girl, was wounded by a gunshot.

The death of two children was confirmed in Kazakhstan. Three were injured.

The day before, Sain reported on the death of a 11-year-old boy in Almaty on January 5 . He was walking with his parents when the shot rang out. On January 7, a 15-year-old teenager was seriously wounded by a gunshot.

On January 10, 2022, President of Kazakhstan Kasim-Zhomart Tokayev announced a national mourning for those killed in the riots.

Earlier in Kazakhstan, the curfew was extended: citizens are asked not to come close to windows for their own safety .

As a reminder, on January 7, the President of Kazakhstan Kasim- Zhomart Tokayev said that he ordered the security forces to open fire to defeat without warning.
