Science, technology and technology news

A new find is gaining popularity on the popular resource Reddit. User BewareTheSpamFilter spotted a “ghost plane” at the site of the 1979 plane crash using Google Maps.

So, in satellite images, you can see only part of the aircraft, which is located near the crash site of American Airlines Flight 191. Lenta.ru writes that the “ghost plane”, in the pictures, is missing the right wing and the front of the fuselage.

An explanation for this phenomenon was found quickly enough. According to the Daily Star journalists, the absence of some parts of the plane is due to the fact that Google's algorithms have incorrectly glued together several satellite images.

As a reminder, two open graves were found earlier in Google Maps. They contained people whom users mistook for freshly buried corpses.
