Gift for the Armed Forces of Ukraine: more than 20 tons of oranges went to the military at zero

On the eve of the Christmas and New Year holidays, the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received a gift: more than 20 tons of oranges. Such a delicious surprise for Ukrainian heroes was prepared by the international postal and logistics group of companies Meest.

An unusual humanitarian cargo of several trucks filled with oranges was sent by the company in partnership with the Greek brands Esperia Travel and Vash Center, as well as with the support of the Ukrainian Embassy in Greece. The 80, 24, 103 and 125 brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received tasty and healthy gifts.

Meest commented on such an unusual load on the front line. They note: despite the already familiar assistance of the Ukrainian army, they wanted to add a special feeling of home to “zero”.

“I am very happy that we managed to send these 50,000 oranges to our guys in the East. After all, when, if not at Christmas, is the best time to do small miracles? We constantly communicate with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, help military vehicles and equipment, transport humanitarian territory. But this time we wanted to give our heroes something that would at least for a moment remind them of home, but of course, it's not just about the “Christmas mood”, although it plays a role.Among other things, citrus fruits are rich vitamin C and well strengthen the immune and nervous systems, which definitely will not interfere with the fighters,” said Rostyslav Kisil, president of the Meest international postal and logistics campaign group.
