A house in the center of Lviv collapsed due to repairs in a neighboring building
On the night of August 26, a house collapsed in the center of Lviv. The likely cause of the landslide is repairs in a neighboring house.
Repairs at 21 Svobody Avenue were carried out by Freedom Avenue. The Lviv City Council noted that if this is the case, then this company will repair the damage and restore the house.
Residents told about the repair
The permit for the repair was issued by the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate of Ukraine. Investigations are ongoing at the crash site. By the way, both houses, 21 and 23, are architectural monuments of local importance.
Deputy Mayor for Housing and Communal Services Irina Marunyak noted that residents talked about the repair. A large amount of building material was brought to the yard.

Residents were temporarily relocated
According to the official, they communicate with each tenant of the house. Some were accommodated at night in a hotel, others were provided with transport to move to other places of lodging for the night. Gas, electricity and water were cut off in the house.
People will be informed separately when it will be possible to return to the house.

What is known about the collapse of the house
- On Svobody Avenue, 3 apartments were destroyed from the side of the courtyard: one apartment was completely destroyed, two were partially destroyed.
- In addition, 2 non-residential premises with a total area of 80 square meters were destroyed.
- In total, there are 14 apartments in the building. A total of 12 people were evacuated.
