Why the gas was released is still unknown.
Today, November 7, at the Abaysk mine in Kazakhstan there was a sudden release of methane. As a result, six miners were killed, two more were injured.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the republic.
A total of 64 workers were in the mine, 56 people immediately self-evacuated.
“ On November 7 at 08:37 o'clock. (04:37 Kiev time) in the city of Abai at the Abaysk mine of the UD JSC “ArcelorMittal Temirtau” in the bottom of the ventilation drift 3-K10 to the north, there was a sudden release of methane gas, “the message says.
As a result, out of eight workers who were at the site of the methane release, six died, two more were injured, information on their condition is being specified.
