In Castiglioncello, Italy, a Molotov cocktail was thrown into the villa of a 37-year-old Russian billionaire Timur Zainutdinov.

It is noted that no one was injured in the attack, the villa was used only for summer holidays. At the time of the incident, the businessman and his family were in Russia.

Carabinieri of the provincial command of Livorno establish the faces of people who threw a Molotov cocktail at the Pontello villa in Castiglioncello, owned by a Russian 37-year-old construction tycoon, billionaire Timur Zainutdinov, the message says.

Why did they try to burn down the villa to a Russian citizen

Italian journalists suggest that the incident may be related to Russia's war against Ukraine. Zainutdinov is married to the daughter of the ex-deputy of the State Council of Tatarstan Ravil Ziganshin. Therefore, they see the political context.

But the Russian media also give another reason. Zainutdinov behaved like a typical Russian and was able to quarrel with the locals. He bought another Godilonda villa in 2014. It was assumed that he would reconstruct it and equip a tourist residence, but soon local residents reported that Zainutdinov had cut down the park and closed access to the beach.

The authorities demanded to eliminate the violations, the businessman was also accused of non-payment of debts of 1.5 million euros, damage to property and misuse of the villa.

Let us recall that this is not the first case of damage to the property of Russians abroad, such cases have become much more frequent after the invasion of the occupiers into Ukraine. Propagandists, oligarchs, politicians and their families have already suffered. Resourceful Europeans flood Russian property with paint, artificial blood, set fire to, sink yachts and throw cocktails with “Ukrainian greetings”.
