A rare find in the waters of Tahiti – a team of scientists has discovered an untouched coral reef.

It is located in the South Pacific Ocean. The coral Valley was discovered by French researcher Leonor Hedouin during a dive with a local diving club.

After that, a team of scientists spent 200 hours underwater to study the reef – take photos and collect coral samples. Scientists were struck by the fact that the corals looked healthy and were not affected by human activity or climate change.
