A rehabilitation center of the RECOVERY network, founded by Viktor and Elena Pinchuk, opened in Dnipro
The innovative rehabilitation center for wounded soldiers RECOVERY has been opened in the city of Dnipro. This is the first center of the national RECOVERY network founded by Viktor and Elena Pinchuk.
Until the end of this year, 10 RECOVERY centers will start operating in Vinnitsa, Dnepropetrovsk, Kyiv, Lvov, Odessa (2 centers), Rivne, Khmelnytsky and Cherkasy regions. The founders have already allocated $11.5 million to the RECOVERY project.
Rehabilitation is about life and functionality: why the unique RECOVERY center
The RECOVERY Center is unique. It is built to the highest international standards. Modern physiotherapy equipment is installed here, physical rehabilitation rooms are equipped with innovative virtual reality equipment that provides feedback to the patient. The complex of simulators and devices for rehabilitation covers the whole range of possible functional disorders of patients (including those resulting from mine-explosive injuries) and helps to restore them at a high technological level.
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, many injured defenders and defenders who need further treatment and rehabilitation have ended up in the front-line Dnieper. Rehabilitation is required from the first day, because the results of the restoration of lost functions and the quality of life of patients depend on timely rehabilitation measures.

Victor Pinchuk
founder of the RECOVERY project
Our Heroes risk their own lives to protect the freedom and future of Ukraine. It is an honor for me and my wife Elena to help them return to a full life after their injuries. The war, unfortunately, showed that the rehabilitation and support of the wounded military will be the most important task for years to come. This requires a systematic approach and assistance to the private sector. Therefore, we decided to create a network of the most modern rehabilitation centers throughout Ukraine on the basis of state clinics as quickly as possible.
Our RECOVERY center has state-of-the-art equipment with virtual reality equipment that provides feedback to the patient. The functionality of the new equipment is very diverse. Each device is just a spaceship! This, of course, will allow more effective recovery of those who need rehabilitation. Rehab is about life. It's about functionality. This is about independence and self-reliance, – said Alla Pivnik, head of the rehabilitation of physical rehabilitation medicine, head of the multidisciplinary team of the city of Dnipro.
