A tornado rages in the USA – at least 23 people were killed, dozens were injured (video)
Four people are still considered missing after the destruction of buildings as a result of bad weather.
At least 23 people were killed, dozens were injured and four were missing due to tornadoes and severe thunderstorms that swept the state of Mississippi (USA) on Friday, March 24, destroying buildings and power lines.

“Unfortunately, these numbers (in terms of victims – ed.) are expected to change,” the message says.
The Sharkey County Sheriff's Office in Rolling Fork reported a gas leak and people trapped in piles of debris.
Rolling Fork Mayor Eldridge Walker said he was unable to immediately get out of his damaged home after being hit by the tornado as power lines were cut. According to him, rescuers are trying to deliver the victims to hospitals.
Per Amory, Mississippi fire scanner: “All North Amory is gone.” Multiple gas leaks and major damage reported after tornado. Responders having hard time moving through streets due to debris.
Forecast Center says debris was being lofted at least 16,000 feet in air.

Meteorologists warned of the danger of an approaching tornado as early as March 17th.
The Storm Prediction Center said the biggest tornado threat would be in parts of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. Storms with damaging winds and hail were expected from eastern Texas and southeastern Oklahoma to parts of southeastern Missouri and southern Illinois.
