Russian invaders in the Zaporizhzhia direction sometimes carry out reconnaissance in force. In fact, the invaders can only show that they are concentrating forces to carry out offensive operations.

Now we know about two attacks by the invaders on this sector of the front. Retired Lieutenant General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and military expert Igor Romanenko told Channel 24 about this.

The Russians show that they are preparing for an offensive

So, first, the Russians sent 3 of their tanks with 30 soldiers, and then 5 infantry fighting vehicles with the corresponding number of personnel. Both attacks ended in the failure of the Russian invaders with the destruction of their military equipment and manpower.

Romanenko recalled that when the Armed Forces of Ukraine were preparing for a counteroffensive operation, they convinced the Russians that they would go to the Kherson direction. Then the invaders gathered reserves, removed them from the Donetsk and Izyum directions and transferred them to the Kherson region.

At this time, the Kharkov counter-offensive “occurred” unexpectedly for the invaders, and they were forced to redeploy their forces again. And then generally leave the right bank of Kherson.

Romanenko stressed that it is necessary to clearly distinguish between the attempts of the Russians to show the concentration of forces, as they do in Belarus, and when the corresponding forces really gather.

Perhaps this is such a case as the Russians are trying to show in Zaporozhye, because it is very dangerous for them there. If you break through their defenses and reach Melitopol and Berdyansk,” the military expert said.

In this case, this will be an operational achievement of the Ukrainian defenders, but the consequences will be strategic. So, this can lead to a split in the defense of the Russians in the South.

As for the Armed Forces, then they need more military equipment. Because Ukrainian fighters certainly have motivation and professional approach.

What is the situation in Zaporozhye

The invaders are carrying out offensive operations in the Orekhov area in Zaporozhye, as well as to the east of the city in the Malinovka area and to the west near Stepne.

However, military expert Roman Svitan believes that the Russians will not be able to carry out a large-scale offensive in the Zaporozhye direction, since the total number of occupying troops there is not enough.

The invaders are trying to occupy the gray zone and are shelling our bases in near Orekhov and Gulyaipol. Two powerful bases of Ukrainian defenders are located in these settlements.

Now the Russians are shelling both Orekhov and Gulyaipole. Our troops are stationed at these bases, which are preparing to move from near Orekhov through Tokmak to Melitopol and from Gulyaipol through Chernigovka to Berdyansk. – said the colonel of the reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Consequently, by constant shelling of these settlements, the occupiers are trying to prevent the probable advance of our defenders.
