Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case after the hard landing of the Eurocopter AS350 helicopter in Bashkiria

A criminal case into the death of two people was opened after the hard landing of a private helicopter Eurocopter AS350 in Bashkiria. This is reported by TASS with reference to the Central Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

“A criminal case has been initiated on the grounds of a crime provided for in part 3 of article 263 (“ Violation of the rules for the safety of traffic and the operation of air transport, resulting in the death of two people by negligence ”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation,” the ministry said in a statement.

The fact that the helicopter made a hard landing in Bashkiria, earlier, on January 7, was reported by the Volga Transport Prosecutor's Office. He flew from Ufa to the village of Pavlovka. There were three people on board in total. One of them died on the spot, another died from his injuries later. The third victim is in serious condition. One of the victims of the helicopter crash was Andrey Oleinik, chairman of the board of trustees of the Bashkiria branch of the Russian Lawyers Association and general director of Gidromashavtomatika.

The preliminary reason for the hard landing of the helicopter in the Blagoveshchensky region of Bashkiria could be weather conditions. On the night of January 7, there was a blizzard in the north of the republic and it was snowing and raining.
