Vitali Klitschko/Word and Deed
The Russian aggressor is unpredictable and can attack at any moment. On May 9, the threat of shelling and provocations in Kyiv remains high.
However, after May 9, residents of the capital can gradually return home. This was stated by the mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko.
Klitschko said that after May 9, you can gradually return to Kyiv
The mayor of the capital warned of a large number of mines in the suburbs and forested areas, and stressed that Kyiv remains the target of the occupier. Therefore, he urged not to rush to return now, but after May 8-9 it is gradually possible. The target of the aggressor was and remains the capital. We cannot guarantee security yet, but after 8-9 it will be possible to gradually return to the capital, Klitschko said.
He expressed his hopes that, despite a lot of information, these two days will pass quietly, as usual. However, provocations from the enemy cannot be ruled out, so you should always be careful and monitor air raid alerts and not ignore them.
Klitschko also added that at meetings with military experts they made a decision regarding May 8-9: < strong>don't impose a “long” curfew. Mass events will only be banned in the capital, patrols and security will be strengthened.
The risk of an air strike on Kyiv still exists
At the same time, Vitali Klitschko stressed that the absence of an offensive by Russian invaders in the city and region does not mean that people are safe. Klitschko says that any building in Kyiv can be shelled at any moment.
The mayor of the capital said that people have already calmed down a bit – they are already used to the situation, or the fear has passed, or they are glad that there are no explosions . However, he urged people to be very careful and not neglect safety rules.
