American AGM-88 HARM missiles played an important role in the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kharkiv and Kherson regions. They helped destroy or extinguish the air defense systems of the Russian invaders.

According to Yuri Ignat, during such operations , of course, it would be better to have full control in the air. However, in the case of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, everything was somewhat different. Control in the sky was achieved thanks to air defense.

These 50 kilometers are not such a long distance for our air defense systems. The S-300 systems have a range of 75 km. The enemy also has more powerful systems such as the S-400, which can hit much greater distances,” Ignat noted.

According to him, American HARM missiles, which “hunt” for air defense systems, played a significant role in the counteroffensive . the occupiers were even forced to turn off their radars.

Control in the sky over airspace is provided not only by fighter aircraft, but also by air defense systems. HARM missiles, which are today adapted to our fighters, have done their job. hands, – said Ignat.
