CHITA, May 24. / TASS /. Seismologists on Monday recorded a 4.3 magnitude earthquake near the Novaya Chara station of the Trans-Baikal Territory, where the Baikal-Amur Mainline passes. This was reported on the website of the Baikal branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The earthquake was registered at 01:32 local time (19:32 Moscow time) with an epicenter 8 km southeast of Novaya Chara.

According to operational data, the tremors were felt in the villages of Udokan and Novaya Chara, there is no information about the damage to infrastructure.
