Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak reacted to the bloody shelling of Toretskaya. Commenting on the attack on Toretsk, he wrote that this was another terrorist attack by the terrorist country of Russia.
Yermak stressed that the Russians fired on a peaceful area, as a result of which people were killed and injured.
How many more victims must there be for the world to recognize Russia as a sponsor of terrorism? – Yermak wrote.
What is known about the attack on Toretsk
On Thursday, August 4, at about 11:00, the invaders shelled Toretsk in the Donetsk region. The head of the Donetsk OVA, Pavel Kirilenko, said that the enemy attack claimed 8 lives of civilians.
Russians fired artillery at Toretsk. As a result of the shelling, 4 more people were injured. There are three children among them at once.
The invaders got into a public transport stop, where at the time of the shelling there was a crowd of people. The invaders also damaged the church and wounded the priest.
Ukraine has been trying for a long time to have Russia recognized as a sponsor of terrorism. The reason for this was a series of terrorist attacks that Russia committed in Ukraine. In particular, the shelling of the mall in Kremenchug, the attack on Vinnitsa and Vremenny Yar, and the recent murder of Ukrainian prisoners of war in the colony of occupied Yelenovka.
The US Senate passed a resolution in late July calling on the State Department to recognize Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism. But political scientist Andrey Vigirinsky said that the chances of granting Russia the corresponding status are rather low.
