Apple will ditch its smallest tablet in the lineup in favor of foldable devices. This was reported in the report of the Chinese edition of MyDrivers.

According to insiders, the American IT giant is going to bury a series of compact tablets. Specifies that iPad mini in the range of Apple products will replace the new folding iPhone. Most likely, the company will remove the mention of the model from its website and gradually withdraw the gadget from production and sale.

Analysts believe that the flagship smartphone will have a screen diagonal in the range of 7.3 and 7.6 inches and support the work with a stylus. There is also a version that Apple may get rid of inexpensive and compact tablets due to the fact that it does not plan to develop this direction and doubts that the small iPad market has growth prospects.

The first tablet in the iPad mini series was introduced on October 23, 2012. The company has released five generations of devices, the representative of the latter was released in March 2019. Estimated at a minimum of 38 thousand rubles, the iPad mini has a 7.9-inch IPS-screen, an Apple A12 chip, support for working in cellular networks and an Apple Pencil stylus.
