This was stated by the Chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States, General Mark Milley, at a briefing, Channel 24 informs. According to him, the Russian invaders achieved tactical successes at a great cost.

What do the US say about the defense of Bakhmut

Mark Milli noted that Ukraine has a reliable defense and pinned down Russian forces in Bakhmut.

They (Ukrainian Armed Forces – Channel 24) require very high costs from the Wagner group and the Russian regular armed forces, the general emphasized.

According to Milli, fierce fighting is going on in Bakhmut and around the city. And the invaders achieve small tactical successes at the cost of insane losses.

Now the West is doing everything to strengthen the Armed Forces of Ukraine in terms of equipment, ammunition and training.

“Adult Ukrainian potential will allow the Ukrainian leadership in the future to develop and implement many options to achieve their goals and bring this war to a successful conclusion,” the general added.

• The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the invaders continue to storm the city of Bakhmut in the direction of the same name. Our defenders managed to repel a number of enemy attacks in the areas of Orekhovo-Vasilovka and Bogdanovka.

• Military expert, retired colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, pilot-instructor Roman Svitan believes that Bakhmut will not be cordoned off by the occupying forces. Even if a decision is made to leave, there are certain operational and tactical actions that will make it possible to keep the corridor for the exit of our fighters.
• According to Svitan, south of Bakhmut, from Kurdyumovka towards Vremenny Yar, a “cauldron” has been created for the invaders – our soldiers are standing there on three sides. The enemy in the north of Bakhmut has the same problem.
