Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down modernized Chinese drone in eastern Ukraine - CNN

APU shot down a modernized Chinese drone in the East of Ukraine. We are talking about Mugin-5, which was used by the invaders.

The military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine told this information to journalists and even showed the place where, according to them, the drone was shot down.

It turns out that the Russians used the Mugin-5 drone, manufactured in eastern China in Xiamen, in the war zone. Online, these drones are also called “Alibaba drones” because they are available for sale on the Alibaba and Taobao websites for up to $15,000.

Curious! Manufacturing company Mugin Limited confirmed to CNN that it was their drone, calling the incident “extremely unfortunate.”

This is the latest example of upgrading and arming a civilian drone since the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which is indicative of the changing patterns of warfare.

Is China changing its stance of neutrality?

In February, the German newspaper Spiegel wrote that China intends to transfer to Russia its ZT-180 kamikaze attack drones capable of carrying a warhead weighing from 35 to 50 kilograms.

Such talks signal a change in China's supposedly “neutral” position on the war in Ukraine, which the Chinese Communists still call a “conflict.” The United States warned Beijing about the consequences of such a decision.

We add that Chinese President Xi Jinping plans to make a spring visit to Russia. After that, Xi Jinping intends to talk with Vladimir Zelensky. Probably, now the Chinese leader is at a crossroads and is trying to choose the most profitable path for himself.
