Near the city of Snigirevka, Mykolaiv region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the enemy. Russians lost personnel, as well as weapons and equipment.

The command explained that the situation in the South on August 8 was stably tense. It is also known that the head of the Nikolaev OVA, Vitaly Kim, reported on the results of the search for traitors in Nikolaev. South”, the Russian invaders continue to conduct hostilities along the line of defense they occupy, however, there have been no significant changes in the composition and position.

The Russians also tried to test Ukrainian positions with single and group helicopter strikes. However, they did not succeed, we have no losses.

Our attack aircraft hit the accumulation of manpower, weapons and equipment of the Russian occupation forces near Snigirevka. The results are being reconnoitered, – reported in OK “South”.

They also reminded that as a result of the work of rocket and artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russians lost:

• 23 units of personnel;
• anti-aircraft missile and gun system “Pantsir-S1” on duty;
• T-72 tank;
• self-propelled howitzer “Msta-S”;
• 5 vehicles, in including armored ones.

There are still enemy forces in the Black Sea

Russian invaders left on duty in the Black Sea:

• 2 surface carriers of Caliber cruise missiles with 16 missiles;
• as well as 1 large landing craft.

“They, like the other 6 units of the ship-boat composition of the enemy fleet, keep at a missile-safe distance from the coast under our control,” the command reported.

Saboteurs were found in the Nikolaev and Odessa regions

As a result of counter-sabotage activities at the weekend in the Mykolaiv region:

• approximately 20 proceedings were started;
• 5 wanted people were detained;
• were found equipment registering fake accounts.

In addition, in the Odessa region, they continued to identify and detain not just violators, but collectors of information about the location of strategic facilities, critical infrastructure facilities, fortifications and the movements of units of the Defense Forces.

“All persons involved in these events were transferred to the competent authorities to respond,” the command of the “South” reported.

People were also urged to respond to air raid signals and not endanger themselves.

Briefly about the situations in the South

• On August 8, the Russians fired 4 “Calibra” from the Black Sea in Ukraine. All missiles of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were shot down.
• Nikolaev was closed for the weekend on August 6-7. At this time, the city was looking for traitors. The head of the Nikolaev regional military administration, Vitaly Kim, said that the police opened 20 cases and detained 5 wanted people.
• It should be noted that on August 4, Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Rostislav Smirnov said that up to 90% Russian assault troops are located in the South of Ukraine.
