Athos remains closed to pilgrims until March 31
The ban on all pilgrimage visits to Mount Athos due to the coronavirus situation is being extended until March 31.
This was reported by the Information and Public Diplomacy Service of the Greek Foreign Ministry.
It is noted that all monks, government officials and workers of monasteries must pass a coronavirus test at the port before boarding ships.
In case of a positive test result, entry to the half-meter is prohibited.
On February 6, the ban on all pilgrimage visits to Mount Athos was extended until February 28.
