Australia imposed sanctions against Iran for the supply of drones to Russia

The sanctions apply to individuals and legal entities involved in the production and supply of drones to Russia.

Australia on Wednesday , February 1, announced the imposition of additional sanctions against Iran for the supply of drones to Russia, which it uses in the war against Ukraine.

It is noted that financial sanctions will be imposed on four Iranian individuals and four organizations involved in the production and supply of drones to Moscow.

“We use all strategies at our disposal to protect human rights – from dialogue and diplomacy to sanctions in accordance with our values ​​and interests,” the Australian Foreign Office said in a statement.

They stressed that Russia, with ruthless cruelty used Iranian drones throughout Ukraine, targeting both civilian areas and key infrastructure.
