Bachmann rose to the Premier League with Watford
Watford, the club of the Austrian soccer team player Daniel Bachmann, fixed promotion to the English Premier League on Saturday. The “Hornets” are in the second highest league after a 1-0 home win over Millwall two rounds before the end, just like leaders Norwich can no longer be displaced from the two direct promotion places. Both clubs were only relegated from the Premier League last year.
As usual, Bachmann was in goal for the Watford win. The 26-year-old has been a one-shot goal since the beginning of the year, since then he has not conceded 13 of 22 league games.
Barnsley can also dream of jumping into the highest English league. The club of the former LASK coach Valerien Ismael won at home against Rotherham United 1-0, ex-WAC defender Michael Sollbauer was replaced in the 51st minute. Barnsley can only theoretically be ousted from the top six and is therefore almost certainly in the promotion play-off.
