Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions: the Armed Forces of Ukraine spoke about the hottest points of the front
The occupiers do not stop trying to attack, despite the successful actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, the north of the Donetsk region and the west of the Luhansk region. The situation in the area of Bakhmut and Avdiivka is very tense.
Sergey Cherevaty, speaker of the Eastern Group of Forces, spoke about this on the air of the national telethon. It is the Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions that are the hottest sectors of the front.
The situation in the Donetsk region
Sergei Cherevaty said that the main enemy strikes are concentrated in the Bakhmut area, including near the village of Ivangrad. The occupiers are heavily attacking in this direction. The representative of the Eastern Group of Forces noted that our defenders and defenders are doing everything to contain the enemy and repel attacks. Also, our soldiers are holding the defense in the Avdeevka direction.
At the same time, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military District, Pavel Kirilenko, noted that in the aforementioned directions, the occupiers not only carry out constant shelling, but also try to attack. Due to the constant shelling of the invaders, Avdiivka was almost completely destroyed. During October 14, as a result of Russian attacks, 4 civilians were injured there. Fortunately, there are no casualties.
What is the situation at the front
As of October 14, Ukrainian defenders continue to fight the enemy and liberate Ukrainian territories. As part of a successful counteroffensive, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated most of the territory of the Kharkiv region, which was under occupation, in particular, Balakleya, Izyum, Kupyansk, Volchansk, Borovaya and a number of other settlements. The north-eastern part of the region is still under occupation.
The north of the Donetsk region was liberated from the invaders, in particular, the Armed Forces of Ukraine de-occupied Svyatogorsk and Liman. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have begun the liberation of the Luhansk region and have already de-occupied 6 settlements.
In the Kherson region, since the beginning of October, the Armed Forces have managed to make significant progress and liberate a number of settlements. At the same time, the American edition of the Financial Times predicts the liberation of Kherson and the right bank of the Dnieper as a whole next week, however, experts are critical of this information.
