Baku expects more active participation of Ankara in the Karabakh settlement

Azerbaijan expects “more active participation of Turkey” in the settlement of the Karabakh conflict. This was stated by the aide of the Azerbaijani President Hikmet Hajiyev.

“Under the current conditions, Azerbaijan expects a more active participation of Turkey in the settlement of the Karabakh conflict. This can be within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group, and in other formats that support its activities, ”he said at a briefing. His words are quoted by TASS.

On October 10, at 12:00 (11:00 Moscow time) local time, a ceasefire came into force in Nagorno-Karabakh. The Armenian and Azerbaijani sides agreed on this earlier following a meeting in Moscow.

At the same time, later the Defense Ministries of Armenia and Azerbaijan accused each other of violating the ceasefire.

According to the Turkish Foreign Ministry, the ceasefire regime in Nagorno-Karabakh “will not replace the solution of the problem” in the region.
