Belarus canceled visa-free travel for a number of countries

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has canceled the visa-free regime for a number of countries. Writes about this “Sputnik Belarus”.

The head of the republic signed a decree amending the list of states whose citizens can enter Belarus without a visa for a period of 30 days.

In particular, residents of the United States, Brazil and Honduras have lost the opportunity to visit the country without a visa. At the same time, the same decree made visa-free travel available to citizens of Iran, Pakistan, Egypt, South Africa and Jordan. To do this, they will need to additionally acquire a visa to the European Union (EU) or the Schengen zone, as well as purchase return tickets from Belarus in advance.

Earlier, Lukashenka allowed citizens of 73 countries to get a visa-free entry for vaccination against coronavirus. They got the opportunity to come to Belarus for paid vaccinations in clinics, the list of which is determined by the Belarusian Ministry of Health. The maximum stay in the republic for such foreigners is five days.
