US President Joe Biden accused Russia of attacks on the West and a desire to weaken NATO and the European Project. He is quoted by Reuters.
According to the American leader, the Russian authorities want to undermine the transatlantic unity. “Defending Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity remains vital for Europe and the United States,” Biden concluded.
The politician also accused Moscow of involvement in cyber attacks on the United States and European countries. He called for a response to these actions, as it is critical to “protect overall security.”
On February 12, US State Department spokesman Ned Price said Washington could impose new sanctions on Moscow over human rights violations. “We will continue to do this, whether in Russia or in another country where human rights are threatened by regimes that oppose these principles,” he stressed.
