US President Joe Biden will talk on the phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, December 7th.

The reason for the call was the buildup of Russian troops on the Ukrainian border, which is seen as a sign of a potential invasion.

The plans for the call were also announced by the Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov, who specified that it will take place in the evening.

On December 4, the head of the Ukrainian Embassy in the United States, Oksana Markarova, expressed confidence that by the joint efforts of the entire democratic world it would be possible to stop the gathering of Russian troops on the border with Ukraine.

Recall, US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland said, that Russia will face new sanctions if it attacks Ukraine.

Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba, in turn, said that a comprehensive package of deterring Russia from further aggressive actions, including tough economic sanctions, is being developed.
