He stressed that now his team is at the stage of discussing an appropriate decision, which should demonstrate support for a nation under attack from Russia.
US representatives may not visit Ukraine any time soon
In an interview with CNN, Biden indicated that the possibility of a delegation is being discussed. However, there are still no concrete solutions.
Biden moved away from the question of who exactly will visit Ukraine. At the same time, the US president asked the reporter if he was ready to go instead of one of the high-ranking officials.
Subsequently, Biden's comment was repeated by the White House.
We are in contact with the Ukrainian government on a daily basis—quite regularly—said Deputy Spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre.
Although Biden or Vice President Kamala Harris is unlikely to visit Kyiv in the near future, the White House is discussing the candidacies of Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin or Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. However, CNN sources report that the visit may eventually not take place.
