Biden administration blamed racism as the cause of climate change

Two of the U.S. presidential administration's environmentalists, appointed by President-elect Joe Biden, cite systemic racism as a major contributor to negative climate change. Their statements were recalled by The Daily Wire.

Maggie Thomas, who will be in charge of staff in the Department of Domestic Climate Policy, drew up a plan that would require the state to spend trillions of dollars to regulate the area. She proposed the creation of a “nationwide initiative on environmental justice” that would ensure equality, fairness and inclusiveness of government policies in this area.

Cecilia Martinez, who will take over as “Director of Environmental Justice”, was on the US House of Representatives Climate Commission. In 2019, the commission issued a report on related issues.

In it, Martinez wrote that “systemic racism remains a major challenge to a healthy planet,” and called for a focus on environmental justice.

It is noted that climate problems, along with social justice issues, will be central to the new American administration. Biden Expected To Return Country To Paris Climate Agreement On Day One
