Blackout in Ukraine on January 8: schedules and list of cities

In Ukraine, there are stabilizing blackouts due to a lack of capacity in the power grid. In particular. electricity consumption is growing against the backdrop of lower temperatures, so blackouts are possible not only during the day, but also at night.

Graphs are divided into three categories:

  • White: light is present and currently guaranteed.

On January 8, there are no blackout schedules in the Zaporozhye region. Oblenergo reports that the light will not be turned off.

Prykarpattyaoblenergo reported that NPC Ukrenergo set a daily limit from 9:00 to 24:00 on January 8 – 304 MW. If the region is able to keep the load at the level of today's day over the next day, there is a chance to go another day without shutdowns.

But if consumption rises sharply, the following schedule will be applied:

  • 1 turn:

For underscore 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, shutdowns are possible between 09:00 and 12:00 For underscore 1.4, shutdowns are possible between 12:00 and 15:00

  • 2 turn:

For underlining 2.1, shutdowns are possible between 12:00 and 15:00 For underlining 2.2,2.3, shutdowns are possible between 15:00 and 18:00 For underlining 2.4, shutdowns are possible between 18:00 and 21:00

  • 3rd turn:

For underscores 3.1, 3.2, shutdowns are possible between 18:00 and 21:00 For underlines 3.3, 3.4, shutdowns are possible between 21:00 and 24:00

Stage 4 will be applied in case of a sharp increase in consumption during peak hours by prior notice.

DTEK Odessa Electric Grids has introduced stabilization schedules in the region, taking into account the difficult situation in the energy system after the last shelling.

As in Kyiv and Odessa region, schedules are divided into three categories:

The Lviv OVA reported that power outages in the region have not yet been applied. But they emphasized that it is important not to exceed the consumption limits from NPC Ukrenergo. If there is an excess of electricity consumption, hourly outage schedules will be applied in the region.

They note that if for some reason Lviv residents do not have food, they can apply to Lvivoblenergo.

On January 8, NPC “Ukrenergo” proved the limit in terms of capacity in the Poltava region: from 09:00 to 23:59 – 497 MW. That is, the light will turn off one queue of consumers at a time.

During the day, the +4/-2 formula will operate in the region. Therefore, the light will be at such hours:

  • 1 turn: 00:30-03:00, 05:30-10:00, 12:00-16:00, 18:00-22:00
  • Stage 2: 00:30-05:30, 08:00-12:00, 14:00-18:00, 20:00-00:30
  • 3rd turn: 03:00-08:00, 10:00-14:00, 16:00-20:00, 22:00-03:00

In the Nikolaev region, hourly blackouts were introduced – this is necessary in order to enter the provided limits on electricity consumption. It is reported that since 10:00 in the region the 3rd line of consumers has been de-energized.

The head of the Cherkassy OVA, Igor Taburets, said that as of 10.58 am, the electricity consumption limit had been exceeded in the region. Power engineers use blackouts.

Although at first it was reported that on January 8, green power outage schedules would operate in the region.
