If Russia really wants to convince the world community that it has no plans to take aggressive actions against Ukraine, it should start proving it in practice — for example, by withdrawing troops from the border. This opinion was expressed by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken during a press conference, broadcast by Reuters.
According to the diplomat, Moscow should begin de-escalation, withdraw troops from the borders with Ukraine and participate in the diplomatic settlement of the problem and conduct a dialogue with other countries.
At the same time, at his press conference held following the talks in Geneva, Lavrov recalled Russia’s unwillingness to start a war with Ukraine.
