The US Secretary of State called on Russia to de-escalate with Ukraine, withdraw troops and equipment from the border

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, during a conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, urged the interlocutor to begin de-escalating the situation with Ukraine as soon as possible, as well as to withdraw troops and equipment from the borders. This is reported by Reuters with reference to the statement of the State Department following the talks.

Blinken also stressed the readiness of the United States to continue to conduct a “meaningful exchange of views” with Russia on security issues in Europe.
