US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken during a press conference following talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called on the Kremlin to prove that Russia is not planning an invasion of Ukraine.
– If Russia wants to convince the world that it has no aggressive moods towards Ukraine, then we need to start with de-escalation and withdraw troops from the border. And also to start a diplomatic dialogue, as we did today. We plan to continue it over the next weeks and days–” he stressed.
The statement that Russia does not plan to attack Ukraine was made, in particular, by Russian Minister Lavrov, speaking at a briefing before Blinken.
