The United States will hand over 100 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine as part of two military aid packages. Ukrainian soldiers will be able to destroy the invaders thanks to the Bradley BMP very soon.

A high-ranking Pentagon official said that the first Bradley BMPs should arrive in Ukraine in the “relatively near future.” As for the specific time, he specified, that we are talking about weeks.

Ukraine to receive IFVs from US within weeks

In the latest weapons package announced, we focused on giving Ukrainians options they can use immediately to change the balance of power on the battlefield – said a Pentagon official.

It is known that two packages of US military assistance to Ukraine included 109 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles. They are called “tank killers”. After that, week-long training sessions were organized for the Ukrainian military on these systems in Germany.

The Pentagon assessed the situation at the front

A high-ranking Pentagon official also commented on the situation on the battlefield in Ukraine. According to him, after serious losses in Bakhmut, Russia is trying to reinforce its positions along the entire front line with tens of thousands of mobilized.

However, as the Pentagon representative noted, these soldiers are “poorly equipped, poorly trained, and battlefield”.

The Pentagon confirmed that, despite Russian offensive efforts, the Ukrainian military continues to successfully maintain formation and defend Bakhmut.

Ukraine will receive infantry fighting vehicles from Germany

  • Facing the threat of a new Russian offensive, Western partners are actively strengthening Ukraine. In particular, the United States, Germany and the Netherlands announced the transfer of Patriot air defense systems. Ukraine will receive three batteries.
  • The German government also announced that it will transfer the Marder infantry fighting vehicle to our country. Germany plans to send about 40 Marder armored personnel carriers to Ukraine by the end of the first quarter.
  • Unfortunately, Germany is still delaying the decision to provide Ukraine with Leopard 2 tanks. But Ukraine may soon receive a company of these tanks from Poland, which is awaiting approval from Germany. In addition, our military will receive Challenger 2 tanks from the UK.
  • As you know, on January 20, the United States announced a $2.5 billion military aid package to Ukraine. It includes 8 Avenger air defense systems, as well as many other important weapons.
