Booster vaccination: why it is very important, despite the fact that vaccinated Israel continues to get sick

Doctors in Israel convince people that there is no alternative.

Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko said that the third – the so-called booster – dose will be available no earlier than January. The US has decided to revaccinate the entire adult population . The EU is discussing the possibility of speeding up the booster vaccination. Meanwhile, Israel believes that Europe is delaying this, leading to outbreaks of disease. How long does the protection last after the second vaccination and why Israel vaccinates the entire population for the third time, – said in the report TSN.19: 30 December 1, 2021 .

Studies have shown that in twice-vaccinated people, protection begins to decline 6 months after the second injection. Therefore, in Israel, starting from the end of summer, they began to vaccinate with the third dose.

The Israeli experience showed that a booster dose of manure vaccine saved the healthcare system from another wave of Delta strain.

Two doses per Israel is vaccinated 62% of the population. The booster dose is 44%. Doctors in Israel convince people that there is no alternative.

At the same time, vaccinated Israel continues to get sick, but in a mild form. Over the past day – more than 500 positive PCR tests. Throughout the country, a dozen patients in the hospital are those who refused vaccination. A week later, 13 people died. These are the best indicators in the world. Professor Gabi Barabash says that the world neglects Israel's experience.

And the new waves of coronavirus in Europe say only one thing – the world is late with the decision to vaccinate people with a booster dose.

The EU is only now discussing its introduction. Minister Viktor Lyashko believes that the revaccination is not the right time. Because most Ukrainians have not received the first vaccination in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Israeli vaccination passports are valid until the end of 2021.

Israeli scientists are studying how long protection will last after a booster dose. They say that it is too early to talk about a fourth dose – too little time has passed to draw solid conclusions.

Recall that in Europe over the past week, the number of new cases of COVID-19 infection has grown by 7% , and “covid” -death – by 10%.
