The British Foreign Office, Elizabeth Truss, has said their team of war crimes experts will help Ukraine investigate Russian atrocities.
Their main goal is to help the Ukrainian side with the collection of evidence and investigation of the atrocities committed by the Russians. The UK team will also include experts on conflict-related sexual violence.
British experts will help Ukraine gather evidence of Russian atrocities
Experts will arrive in Poland in early May. They will meet with international partners, refugees, non-governmental organizations and representatives of the Ukrainian government. The goal of the British is to find out what kind of help they can provide.
In parallel, the head of the British Foreign Office is going to The Hague on April 29 to negotiate with the head of the International Criminal Court, Judge Piotr Hoffmansky.
The goal of the policy is to confirm the full support of the UK to investigate and prosecute war crimes and the use of sexual violence, not only in the conflict in Ukraine, but throughout the world.< /p>
