The capital handed over 1200 class 4 and 5 bulletproof vests to the soldiers of the National Guard, – Klitschko

Mayor In Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko handed over 1,200 body armor of the 4th and 5th protection class to the National Guard of Ukraine.

The city received body armor from partners, the official website of the Kyiv City State Administration reports.

The war with which Russia broke into Ukraine has been going on for more than 4 months. Ukrainians are heroically fighting for their independence and freedom, for their statehood. And the military, protecting us on the front line, need high-quality and reliable equipment. The city authorities are helping the Ukrainian fighters as much as they can. We donate food, hygiene products, cars, the most necessary equipment. Today Kyiv handed over to the National Guard of Ukraine 1200 armored vests of the 4th and 5th protection class. The city received these body armor from partners. The equipment has passed all the necessary studies and examinations and has the proper test reports,” the mayor of Kyiv emphasized.

In general, according to Vitaliy Klitschko, the city has already donated almost 15,000 body armor and 5,000 Kevlar helmets to the defenders of Ukraine. In March and April, the city handed over bulletproof vests to the Territorial Defense, volunteer defenders, in May 7,500 bulletproof vests and 5,000 Kevlar helmets were handed over to the Ground Forces of Ukraine, at the same time 500 bulletproof vests were handed over to the National Guard. In June, 1700 bulletproof vests – the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
