The city authorities announced the start of a pilot project for rapid testing of schoolchildren for coronavirus. Students will take tests twice a month. The first mass testing will take place on October 14th.
Ten Moscow schools will become sites for the experiment, according to the authors of the project, testing will help to quickly identify asymptomatic cases of the course of the disease. The initiative of the authorities was approved by the chief physician of Kommunarka Denis Protsenko.
“Communicating within the family with parents and grandparents, they begin to infect people at risk. Therefore, early detection, a more detailed analysis and a quick start of treatment will help in many ways, we hope, to improve the situation ”,
If the child tests positive at school, the pediatrician will give him a second PCR test at home. In case of confirmation of the disease, the question of the need to transfer to a two-week quarantine of the entire class in which the sick student is studying will be decided.
